I want to send you a postcard.
Why?
Because there is a gigantic pile of Australian stamps on my kitchen table. Because I know a grotty shop where I can buy the most amazing vintage postcard you’ve ever seen. Because I have entirely too much time on my hands, and because I’m such an incredible human being that I suspect I can make a letter have an orgasm simply by mailing it.
If you’re interested, you need to do two things:
- Remain calm.
- Go to the Mike on Bike Facebook page and post a picture of you and a bicycle. The bike should be yours and, ideally, you should love it more than your mother.
Whoever posts the photo with the most likes by this time next week (August 5) will get a Tasmanian postcard from yours truly.
That’s it. Don’t look for fine print – there isn’t any. I don’t even care if you follow me on Facebook, although, honestly, I don’t see how it could hurt your chances of getting into heaven.
Happy posting.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to practice my philatelic touch . . .

PLEASE NOTE: As indicated above, I stopped accepting submissions on August 5, 2014. The postcards are officially signed, sealed and sent. Congratulations to Sheri in Canada and Christopher in New Zealand, and thanks to everyone who took the time to participate!
